Amables soberanos

An overall review of how the image of the king and the royal family was portrayed in Spanish Court painting, from the advent of the Borbón dynasty up to the reign of King Juan Carlos I. The possibility of comparing the different artists' interpretations and the different versions of the works is basic for this study, which, unlike monographic studies of a single artist, contrasts artists of different generations and places them all in their historic context.
